Q. Do you reference candidates?


A. Yes - we provide at least two references on all contractors / temps supplied, where appropriate. We can also provide references for permanent candidates on request too.

Q. How long do temporary assignments last?

A. We can supply temps / contractors for any length of time from one day to a year or longer. We have also been very successful over the years at providing contractors / temps at short notice.

Q. How do I register?

A. If you have a CV, sending that to us would be best starting point. Alternatively if your job role hasn’t normally required a CV, you will need to download the application form from our here and fill it in, sign it, and then either email it, fax it back to us or send it by post.

Q. Can I apply online?

A. Yes, if you have a CV. If your role is non-CV based, and you would not normally submit a CV, you must fill in our application form and return it to us by fax, email or post.


Q. Withdrawing an application from a job?

A. On occasion, you may accidentally apply for a position, or decide afterwards that a role isn’t right for you. If this is the case, you can easily withdraw your application.

To withdraw your applications simply call or email one of our consultants and inform them that you wish to withdraw your application for a specific role.


Q. Are CRB checks compulsory for certain roles ?

A. The CRB itself does not make its checks compulsory; however, other government legislation may make the provision of one compulsory in certain circumstances e.g. for those working in schools and care homes etc.


Q. How Can I apply for CRB?

A. The person who asked you to apply for a CRB check should be able to provide with an application form or tell you how to apply.


Q. How do I find out what level of CRB check I need?

A. There are two levels of CRB check available, Standard and Enhanced.

Standard checks are primarily available for anyone involved in working with children or vulnerable adults, as well as certain other occupations and entry into professions as specified in the Exceptions Order to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Enhanced checks are available to anyone involved in regularly caring for, training, supervising or being in sole charge of children or vulnerable adults. It is also available for certain licensing purposes and judicial appointments.


Q. How do I get my wages?

A. We offer the option of paying all our contractors / temps through our own payroll. We can pay weekly or monthly depending on your needs.

For weekly you will be paid weekly in arrears direct by BACS into your chosen bank account. Pay day is a Friday and you will receive a pay slip on or after Thursday with the details of your wages.

For monthly you will be paid last Friday of the month direct by BACS into your chosen bank account. Pay day is a Friday and you will receive a pay slip on or after Thursday with the details of your wages.


Q. What are the options available for the payment of wages?

A. You can either get paid on PAYE basis or on a Limited / Umbrella Company basis if you have one.

If you have your own Limited company we will need to see your certificate of incorporation and (if appropriate) a VAT registration certificate. This will also be the case if you have need to paid through an Umbrella Company.


Q. Can you provide me details of Umbrella Company through which I can get my paid wages?

A. Yes, we can. We have a preferred supplier list of umbrella companies which we can provide you a list of. At that point, it is up to you to contact and choose an umbrella company from that list that best suits your needs.


Q. What’s the deadline for submitting the timesheets?

A. 4pm every Tuesday.


Q. What happens once I have sent my CV in response to an advert (permanent or contract)?

A. A recruitment consultant will contact you by telephone at a time that is convenient for you. They will discuss with you the relevant vacancy and establish how well it is matched to your aspirations, qualifications and skillset. You may also be asked to answer some technical questions on the phone if the job requires such. You will then normally be asked to come in to meet us face to face.

Your CV is then forwarded to the client and interviews are arranged as appropriate.

Our recruitment team will ensure that you are prepared for each stage of the job application process


Q. Can you give me help with my interview technique?

A. Yes, all of our consultants are fully trained in counselling candidates though the recruitment process and examples of "difficult" interview questions are available in the Interview Tips section on this website.


Q. Is a reference required from my previous employees?

A. Yes, for contract / temp roles. As company policy we supply all our clients with references for contractors / temps on a mandatory basis.


Q. What if I am interested in multiple positions? Can I apply more to more than one position?

A. You can apply for as many positions as you deem suitable to your experience and qualifications. Please apply to each position of interest that matches your experience and the requirements as specified by the position. Your application will be considered against each job for which you apply.
